The Mid-Derbyshire Association for Mobile Physiotherapy.
The Mid-Derbyshire Association for Mobile Physiotherapy is a charity that started in 1976, in recognition for the need of a mobile physiotherapy service for the people of rural Derbyshire.
The charity continues strong today. A physiotherapist is sub-contracted to the NHS where he works closely with the integrated community therapy team. Monies raised by the charity pay for the van and equipment, in addition to the on costs of employment.
The Charity enables our qualified dedicated Community Physiotherapist to visit patients and provide treatment at home for those who struggle to make hospital appointments. The reasons for this could be anything from: frailty, pain, risk of falling, respiratory, medical, or neurological conditions.
